Srisailam temple management warns of action against prohibited activities
The Srisailam temple management warns of action against prohibited activities in the temple town, following an incident during New Year celebrations. The authorities said strict steps would be taken to protect the sanctity of the pilgrim centre.
The warning came after staff members of a satram organised celebrations on the night of December 31. Movie songs were played during the event, and some staff were seen dancing, which violated temple town norms.
Temple officials said such activities go against the spiritual atmosphere of Srisailam. They stated that the temple town follows specific rules to maintain religious discipline and cultural values.
The management clarified that permission was not taken for the programme. Officials said ignorance of rules would not be accepted as an excuse in future.
The Srisailam temple management warns of action against prohibited activities and said disciplinary measures would be initiated against those responsible. The authorities also issued instructions to all satrams, lodges, and shops to strictly follow the guidelines.
Temple officials added that awareness meetings would be held to remind stakeholders of permitted and banned activities. They stressed that cooperation from all residents and service providers is essential.
Devotees welcomed the decision and urged the authorities to enforce the rules consistently. They said maintaining the sacred nature of Srisailam should remain a top priority.
