Andhra Pradesh IT and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh expressed pride at the announcement, saying it was a moment of honor for the State. He said that Visakhapatnam’s selection as Google’s AI hub reflects its growing importance in technology and innovation.
The hub is expected to create thousands of high-tech jobs and attract global talent to the city. It will focus on AI research, development, and practical applications across industries. Officials said the project will strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s position as a technology-driven State and boost investment in the IT sector.
The announcement is seen as a major milestone for Visakhapatnam and India’s AI ambitions.
