Supreme Court Issues Fresh Notices to Anil Ambani, Reliance ADA Group
The Supreme Court on January 23, 2026, issued fresh notices to businessman Anil Ambani and companies of the Reliance ADA Group in connection with a Public Interest Litigation (PIL). The PIL has alleged large-scale banking and corporate fraud involving loans taken from banks.
A Bench headed by Chief Justice Surya Kant and Justice Joymalya Bagchi took note of the matter and decided to hear the case again. The court fixed the plea for hearing after 10 days and asked the concerned parties to respond to the allegations made in the petition.
The PIL claims that public money was misused and that banks suffered heavy losses due to improper lending and poor recovery of loans. Anil Ambani and his group companies have denied wrongdoing in the past.
The Supreme Court said it will examine the matter carefully before taking any further decision
