The Supreme Court to pronounce verdict on Waqf Amendment Act 2025 today, a case that has drawn national attention. The matter came before a Bench headed by Chief Justice B.R. Gavai, who heard arguments for three consecutive days in May soon after taking charge.

The case first reached the Supreme Court in April, just hours after Parliament passed the Waqf (Amendment) Bill 2025. Chief Justice Gavai’s Bench heard detailed submissions from the petitioners’ advocates as well as Solicitor General Tushar Mehta representing the government.
The upcoming verdict will decide whether the Act’s implementation stays paused or proceeds, marking a significant moment in the ongoing debate over waqf law and property rights in India.
