SUV EOU Crackdowns in Bihar have exposed several corruption cases involving government officials over the past 14 months. Vigilance agencies registered more than 232 cases against public servants during this period.
According to officials, SUV EOU Crackdowns were carried out by the Vigilance Investigation Bureau, the Special Vigilance Unit (SVU), and the Economic Offences Unit (EOU). These agencies filed cases related to bribery, abuse of power, and possession of assets beyond known sources of income.
Authorities said more than 150 arrests were made in trap cases, where officials were caught taking bribes. Investigations also revealed large amounts of cash, jewellery, and property documents during raids at the homes of several accused officers.
The cases involve a wide range of officials, including administrative officers, engineers, police personnel, and revenue officials. The agencies said they will continue strong action against corruption and aim to increase surveillance and raids across the state.
