Tej Pratap Yadav, elder son of Lalu Prasad Yadav, recently revealed that he blocked SP President Akhilesh Yadav’s number. The video of his statement is now viral. Tej Pratap said he tried calling Akhilesh several times during his Bihar visit for Rahul Gandhi’s Voter Rights Yatra, but received no response. He even sent a message through someone at the Taj Hotel, yet Akhilesh did not reply.
Upset over being ignored, Tej Pratap not only blocked his number but also unfollowed him on social media. Their families—Lalu Yadav’s and Mulayam Singh Yadav’s—have shared strong ties for decades, making this rift more surprising.
Tej Pratap is now focusing on his new party, Janshakti Janata Dal (JJD). As its national president, he has announced the election symbol (blackboard) and slogan: “Power of the people, rule of the people, Tej Pratap will develop Bihar.” His aim is to bring major change and create a new system in the state.
This bold move against Akhilesh shows Tej Pratap’s frustration but also highlights the shifting dynamics in Bihar politics.
