Tej Pratap Yadav has strongly rejected the Mahua seat exit polls, saying they do not show the real mood of voters. He repeated that Mahua seat exit polls often change and that the final result will be clear only on November 14, when counting begins.
He said he trusts the people of Mahua more than any survey. According to him, many exit polls fail to read ground-level support. He also said he is fully confident of winning the Mahua seat in Vaishali district. Tej Pratap added that his team is not celebrating early and is instead preparing for the next steps.
Exit polls released after the second phase of voting predicted a strong performance for the NDA. Many surveys showed the Grand Alliance falling below 100 seats. A few exit polls suggested a close fight.
Tej Pratap formed the JJD after leaving the RJD and is now contesting from Mahua on a JJD ticket. His main opponents are Mukesh Roshan from the RJD and Sanjay Singh from the NDA.
He said the real test is the counting day and asked everyone to wait for the official numbers. Tej Pratap also avoided commenting on who might become the next Chief Minister.
