A fresh rift has surfaced within the Lalu Prasad Yadav family after Rohini Acharya alleged she was “abused, humiliated, and even assaulted” by her brother Tejashwi Yadav and his close aide, RJD MP Sanjay Yadav. Hours after the explosive claim, her elder brother and Janshakti Janta Dal (JJD) chief Tej Pratap Yadav publicly extended strong support to her, declaring that he “will not tolerate any insult to my sister.”
In a post issued via the official JJD Instagram handle, Tej Pratap shared a video of Rohini and wrote in Hindi that while he had silently endured wrongs done to him in the past, he could not remain quiet over his sister’s humiliation. He expressed anguish over reports that Rohini was allegedly struck with a slipper, saying the incident had “turned his pain into fire.”
Without naming Tejashwi or Sanjay Yadav directly, Tej Pratap warned “Jaichands” — a term used for betrayers — that the people of Bihar would not forgive attacks on family honour. He hinted that “some faces have clouded Tejashwi’s judgement” and cautioned that the consequences of this “injustice will be severe.”
The controversy has triggered political tremors in Bihar, with parties closely monitoring the unfolding tensions within one of the state’s most influential political families.
