The Election Commission (EC) rejected Rahul Gandhi’s claims of voter deletions in Bihar. Gandhi, in a video on X, alleged that Subodh Kumar was removed from the voter list. He also said millions of voters in Bihar had lost their rights. Gandhi suggested political bias, linking Subodh Kumar to the RJD.
The EC denied these charges. It explained that Subodh Kumar’s name never appeared on the official voter list. Officials said Gandhi’s claims of large-scale deletions were false. They stressed that strong verification systems exist and no irregularities took place.
Earlier, Gandhi accused the EC of removing Ranju Devi and her family from the list. The Commission issued a clarification. It confirmed that the voter records of her family were accurate.
The EC said it remains committed to transparency and impartiality. Officials highlighted their duty to maintain accurate lists and protect voting rights. They assured that all eligible citizens will have the chance to vote without obstacles.
This response directly challenges Rahul Gandhi’s allegations and reinforces the EC’s stand on fair electoral practices.
