Komuravelli Mallanna Temple in Siddipet district is one of the most famous pilgrimage centers in Telangana. Every year, a grand fair is held here for three months, beginning around Sankranti and continuing until Ugadi. Until now, devotees visiting the temple have largely depended on bus services for transportation.
Although a railway station already exists at Komuravelli, construction works have been underway, and trains have not been halting there. Now, the Central Government has given major relief to devotees.
Union Minister Kishan Reddy announced on his X account that a new railway halt station at Komuravelli is nearing completion. He said that once functional, trains will stop here for the convenience of pilgrims. The project is already 95% complete, with only 5% of the work pending. Platform shelters and a high-level platform have been completed, while finishing touches are being given to the station building.
Once operational, this station will make travel much easier for devotees coming not only from Hyderabad but also from different parts of the country. The Komuravelli Railway Halt Station will not only provide hassle-free transportation for pilgrims but also strengthen the local transport network.
Kishan Reddy noted that this project reflects Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to connect major spiritual centers across India through railway networks, thereby promoting cultural heritage.
It may be recalled that the Railway Ministry had approved the construction of this halt station last year. It is located on the Manoharabad–Kothapalli route, between Lakdaram and Duddeda stations. Calling it a “gift from Prime Minister Modi’s government to Mallanna devotees,” Kishan Reddy said this station will benefit lakhs of pilgrims who visit Komuravelli during the annual fair.
