Former Bihar minister Tej Pratap Yadav has taken strict action in the Tej Pratap Yadav police recruitment scam, removing his party’s national spokesperson after serious bribery allegations surfaced. The decision came after complaints claimed money was taken in the name of Bihar Police recruitment.
Santosh Kumar Renu, the national spokesperson of the Jan Shakti Janata Dal (UJD), was accused of accepting ₹1.45 lakh from a Bihar Military Police havildar. The money was allegedly taken by promising a job through police connections.
Tej Pratap Yadav shared the details in a social media post. He called the act a grave and unforgivable crime. He said such actions damage public trust and harm the party’s image.
According to the complaint, Renu also collected money from others by giving false assurances of jobs. Several victims later came forward with similar claims. After reviewing the matter, the party’s Central Disciplinary Committee expelled him from all posts with immediate effect.
Renu was also removed from his role in Yaduvanshi Sena, another organization led by Tej Pratap. The leader said no one would be spared if they misuse the party name.
The Tej Pratap Yadav police recruitment scam has sparked political debate and renewed focus on corruption in job recruitment.
