A tense scene unfolded in Mahnar, Vaishali, during the Bihar Assembly Elections. Tej Pratap Yadav, leader of the Jan Shakti Janata Dal, went to campaign for his candidate Jai Singh Rathore. Soon after his rally at Hiranand High School, chaos broke out. Supporters of Tejashwi Yadav’s RJD surrounded Tej Pratap’s car and began shouting slogans like “Lalu Yadav Zindabad” and “Lantern Chhaap Zindabad.”
As Tej Pratap tried to leave, the crowd chased his car. Some people reportedly threw stones. His supporters managed to move him out safely. Jai Singh Rathore blamed RJD for creating the disturbance. He claimed that RJD members offered liquor and money to miscreants to cause trouble. Rathore has now asked the police for protection.
The fight for Mahnar turned bitter as Tej Pratap’s candidate, Jai Singh Rathore, stood against Tejashwi Yadav’s Dr. Ravindra Singh. The clash showed the growing rivalry between the two Yadav brothers and their parties.
