Tejashwi Yadav–AIMIM Rajya Sabha Deal Talks Show Positive Signs

Tejashwi Yadav–AIMIM Rajya Sabha deal talks meeting with Akhtarul Iman in Patna

Tejashwi Yadav–AIMIM Rajya Sabha deal talks have sparked fresh political discussion in Bihar before the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav recently met AIMIM’s Bihar chief Akhtarul Iman in Patna to discuss possible cooperation. The Tejashwi Yadav–AIMIM Rajya Sabha deal talks are part of the opposition’s effort to gather enough votes for one Rajya Sabha seat.

After the meeting, Akhtarul Iman said the discussion was positive and gave “good signals.” He said AIMIM would inform party chief Asaduddin Owaisi about the meeting before taking any final decision.

The meeting lasted for more than 30 minutes. Leaders mainly discussed the Rajya Sabha election numbers in Bihar. They also spoke about working together to support weaker and marginalized communities.

In the Bihar Assembly, the opposition alliance has around 35 MLAs. A candidate needs 41 votes to win a Rajya Sabha seat. AIMIM’s MLAs could play an important role in helping the RJD candidate secure victory.

A final decision on support is expected after AIMIM leadership reviews the discussion.
