Tejashwi Yadav has postponed the RJD meeting to tomorrow as part of the Bihar Election seat-sharing discussions. The meeting will now take place at Rabri Devi’s home on October 10. Leaders will decide on the final list of RJD candidates.
Senior Congress leaders have reached Patna to meet Lalu Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav. They aim to solve the ongoing Bihar Election seat-sharing issues within the Grand Alliance. Top leaders like Ashok Gehlot, Jairam Ramesh, Bhupesh Baghel, and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury joined the talks at Sadakat Ashram. Congress will hold a press conference at 3 PM today.
After the press meet, Congress leaders may visit Rabri Devi’s residence for another round of talks. The goal is to reach a clear seat-sharing formula with RJD soon.
In the 2020 elections, Congress fought 70 seats but won only 19. RJD bagged 74 out of 144. This time, RJD wants over 135 seats. The VIP and Left parties also seek more seats. All allies are pushing hard to reach a final deal before the election deadline.
