The Tejashwi Yadav Gang remark by Jitan Ram Manjhi has sparked political debate in Bihar. Police killed the main accused in the murder of municipal officer Krishna Bhushan Kumar during an encounter.
After the operation, Manjhi praised the police team. He also targeted opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav in a social media post. His Tejashwi Yadav Gang remark quickly drew attention in state politics.
The incident took place in Sultanganj of Bhagalpur district. Gunmen entered the municipal office and opened fire. The attack killed Executive Officer Krishna Bhushan Kumar and injured the council chairman.
Police later tracked the main accused, Ramdhani Yadav. Officers confronted him during a raid. He fired at the police team. Police responded and killed him in the encounter.
Manjhi said the new Bihar will act strongly against criminals. He also congratulated the Bhagalpur police for quick action.
The state government announced ₹25 lakh financial help for the officer’s family. Authorities will conduct the last rites with state honours.
