Patna-Purnia Expressway: Khesra Register Ready, Land Acquisition Process Moves Ahead

Patna-Purnia Expressway land survey and Khesra register preparation in Purnia

The Patna-Purnia Expressway project has reached a major step in Bihar. Officials have prepared the Khesra register for land acquisition in Purnia district. The step will speed up the construction process.

Authorities plan to acquire about 1,343 acres of land from 37 villages. These villages fall under Kenagar, Purnia East, Dhamdaha, Kasba, and Barhara Kothi circles. Officials have started the joint land measurement survey in these areas.

The Patna-Purnia Expressway will be a six-lane greenfield highway. It will improve road connectivity in the Seemanchal region. The new road will also help people travel faster between Patna and Purnia.

After completion, travel time between the two cities may drop to around three hours. The expressway will also improve connectivity with West Bengal and Nepal. Officials expect the project to boost trade, transport, and local development in the region.
