Tejashwi Yadav furious after meeting cancelled in Khagaria. He accused the BJP and administration of fearing massive public turnout. The RJD leader called the move “dictatorial,” saying people won’t bow to political pressure. Three rallies were planned, but one was cancelled citing security reasons due to Amit Shah’s visit.
Dr. Chandan Yadav of RJD alleged that BJP leaders influenced officials to cancel the meeting. He said it violated democratic values and fair election principles. He added that the BJP-JDU government, sensing defeat, is misusing power to harass the INDIA alliance.
Despite the cancellation, Tejashwi will hold two other rallies in Parbatta and Alauli constituencies. Dr. Yadav clarified that the event site was far from Amit Shah’s rally and had a four-hour gap. People of Khagaria are ready to defend democracy, he asserted.
