Telangana CM Seeks PM’s Approval for Metro, Expressway and Other Key Projects
Telangana Chief Minister has appealed to Prime Minister to approve several major infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing connectivity and boosting economic growth in the State. Among the proposals, the CM highlighted the expansion of Hyderabad Metro Rail, which would improve urban transit, reduce congestion, and provide efficient, sustainable transport for the city’s growing population.
In addition, he sought clearance for the Hyderabad-Machilipatnam Port greenfield expressway, a strategic corridor intended to facilitate faster movement of goods between the State’s hinterland and the port, thereby promoting trade and industrial development.
The Chief Minister also urged the Centre to consider other key projects, including industrial and logistics hubs, to strengthen Telangana’s infrastructure network. Officials said the proposals are part of the government’s broader vision to boost economic growth, create employment, and enhance regional connectivity, reinforcing Telangana’s position as a major economic and industrial centre in southern India.
