The Telangana government has released ₹146.3 crore to beneficiaries under the Indiramma Housing Scheme. According to officials, the funds were deposited into the accounts of 13,841 beneficiaries on Monday. They further stated that since the launch of the scheme, a total of ₹1,435 crore has been disbursed to eligible households across the state.
Officials highlighted that the scheme has gained significant momentum, with construction works on 2.15 lakh houses already underway. Out of these, 1.29 lakh houses are currently in progress, showing steady development. The government aims to provide affordable housing to the underprivileged and ensure timely financial support for construction.
The latest fund release is expected to accelerate the completion of pending houses and give a boost to the overall housing program. Authorities reiterated their commitment to supporting weaker sections by ensuring transparent and direct transfer of funds to beneficiaries.
