The Silent Threat: Rising Heart Disease Among Young Adults and the Way Forward
Heart disease is no longer an “old age” problem. Alarmingly, more young adults are falling victim to cardiac issues due to sedentary lifestyles, poor diets, high stress, smoking, and undiagnosed conditions like hypertension or genetic disorders. The growing reliance on fast food, lack of exercise, and digital overuse only worsen the risks.
To tackle this, early education on heart health is vital. Regular screenings, healthier eating habits, stress management, and physical activity must become priorities. Encouraging open conversations about mental and physical health can also prevent silent risk buildup. Prevention, not reaction, is the key.
