Tirumala temple Hundi income reaching ₹4.75 crore

Tirumala: The Tirumala Venkateswara Temple is experiencing an extraordinary turnout of devotees, with crowds continuing to swell as the weekend approaches. Pilgrims are currently facing wait times of up to 8 hours for darshan, with 14 compartments in use to accommodate the growing numbers. To ensure the comfort of the visitors, temple staff are providing prasadam, milk, and drinking water.

On Friday alone, 72,067 devotees had the chance to offer their prayers at the temple, and 25,212 participated in the traditional tonsure ceremony by offering their hair. The temple’s Hundi income for the day reached an impressive ₹4.75 crore, as reported by officials from the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).

The influx of devotees has steadily increased, surpassing the usual visitor numbers, with July seeing a notable surge. As one of India’s most visited and revered pilgrimage sites, Tirumala continues to attract devotees from across the country and abroad.
