The Andhra Pradesh government has transferred TTD Executive Officer (EO) A.V. Dharma Reddy Singhal following the controversy over Tirupati laddu ghee quality. The issue came into focus after ghee used for making the famous Tirupati laddus was suspected to be adulterated. At the time, Mr. Singhal was in charge of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) during the YSR Congress Party government.
After his transfer, Special Chief Secretary K. Ravichandra has been appointed as the in-charge Executive Officer of TTD. The government said this decision was taken in the interest of maintaining transparency and restoring public confidence in the temple administration.
The Tirupati laddu is considered sacred by devotees across the country, and any issue related to its quality is taken very seriously. The government has ordered an inquiry into the matter to find out how the suspected adulteration happened. Officials have assured devotees that strict steps will be taken to protect the purity of temple prasadam and prevent such incidents in the future.
