Hyderabad: TPCC General Secretary Gajjela Kantham hit back at BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) for calling Congress a “third-class party.” Speaking at Gandhi Bhavan, he reminded that Congress fought for India’s independence and later granted Telangana statehood.
“Who are you to insult Congress, a party with such a proud history? Without Congress, Telangana would not exist. Your father KCR would never have become Chief Minister, and you would not be a minister,” Kantham said.
He also attacked KCR, stating, “Your father built a party with liquor money and misled the people. Before branding others as third class, learn your father’s history.”
Kantham added that BRS leaders lack moral ground to criticize Congress. He stressed that people of Telangana still recognize Congress’ sacrifices for the state.
