A huge sign appeared on a Tel Aviv beach on Monday, thanking former U.S. President Donald Trump ahead of his arrival in Israel. The sign, styled like the Israeli flag with blue stripes and Stars of David, read “Thank you” in English and Hebrew, along with the word “home.”
Air Force One flew over the sign as Trump landed at Ben Gurion Airport to mark a historic deal between Israel and Hamas. The agreement aims to return 48 remaining hostages and end the ongoing war in Gaza.
During his visit, Trump will meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, address the Knesset, and meet families of the freed hostages. After Israel, he will head to Egypt for a major summit with over 20 world leaders, including France’s Emmanuel Macron and the UK’s Keir Starmer, to discuss Gaza’s future.
The International Committee of the Red Cross confirmed that the release of Israeli hostages has begun. In return, Israel will free nearly 2,000 Palestinian prisoners. The deal also opens Gaza for humanitarian aid, allowing up to 600 trucks daily. Netanyahu said Israel is withdrawing troops from some areas while ensuring Hamas remains surrounded.
