Unable to tolerate defeat, ashamed of public is how BJP-aligned Bihar Agriculture Minister Ramkripal Yadav described RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav after the 2025 assembly elections. Ramkripal said Tejashwi is embarrassed by his party’s poor performance and avoids meeting voters.
He claimed the public gave a clear message in the elections, delivering a crushing defeat to the RJD. According to Ramkripal, Tejashwi even traveled abroad to hide from the public after the loss. The minister also said all 25 RJD MLAs are in touch with the BJP and could join the party at any time.
The attack triggered sharp responses from the opposition. RJD spokesperson Mrityunjay Tiwari accused the BJP of trying to weaken opposition voices in the assembly. He said the party will continue representing its supporters despite BJP’s attempts to lure MLAs. Congress spokesperson Gyan Ranjan criticized Ramkripal for ignoring farmers’ issues and focusing on political maneuvers instead.
JDU leader Manish Yadav added that Tejashwi insulted Nitish Kumar during elections, but voters punished him with defeat. His absence from public events and media reflects his inability to accept the loss.
