A controversy has started over UPSC Rank 301 Akanksha Singh after two women with the same name claimed the same position in the Civil Services Examination.
Soon after the results came out, Akanksha Singh from Bhojpur in Bihar claimed she secured rank 301. She is the granddaughter of former Ranveer Sena chief Brahmeshwar Mukhiya. Local reports and social media widely shared the news.
Later, another woman named Akanksha Singh from Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh made the same claim. She said she is the real UPSC Rank 301 Akanksha Singh. She also stated that she works as a doctor at AIIMS Patna.
The issue became bigger when both women shared similar details online. Their claims also showed the same roll number. This created confusion among students and the public.
