Urban Development Minister Assures Timely Completion of Amaravati Construction

Andhra Pradesh Urban Development Minister Ponguru Narayana on Friday asserted that construction works in Amaravati would be completed within the stipulated time, dismissing allegations made by YSRCP chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy as baseless. He said claims that buildings were being constructed in the river bed reflected ignorance of facts and deliberate misinformation.

Addressing the media in Vijayawada, Mr. Narayana said all works in the capital region were being executed strictly in accordance with approved plans, environmental norms, and expert studies. He accused YSRCP leaders of repeatedly spreading false narratives to undermine public confidence in the Amaravati project.

The Minister said the present government was committed to developing Amaravati as a world-class capital city with modern infrastructure and transparent governance. He added that stalled works were being revived at a fast pace and monitoring mechanisms were in place to ensure quality and timely completion. Amaravati’s development, he said, would play a key role in the State’s overall progress.
