US launches deadly strikes against ISIS terrorists in Nigeria, with former President Donald Trump confirming that American forces carried out multiple air attacks targeting extremist hideouts. Trump said the strikes were ordered after reports that ISIS fighters were brutally slaughtering Christians in the region.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump stated that ISIS militants operating in northwest Nigeria had crossed all limits of violence. He claimed the group had been repeatedly warned to stop the attacks on innocent civilians, especially Christian communities. According to Trump, those warnings were ignored, leading to decisive military action.
Trump described the airstrikes as precise and effective. He praised the US military for executing the mission and referred to the Pentagon as the “Department of War,” underlining his hardline stance against radical Islamic terrorism. He also extended Christmas greetings while commending American forces for protecting religious freedom.
Nigeria has faced years of instability due to extremist groups like Boko Haram and ISIS-linked factions. These groups are active mainly in the northern parts of the country. The violence has displaced thousands and triggered global concern.
Recently, the United States designated Nigeria as a “country of particular concern” under its religious freedom law. The US State Department has also imposed visa restrictions on individuals linked to violence against Christian communities, signaling growing international pressure.
