A new Vande Bharat Express train has been proposed between Bengaluru and Goa via Padil in Mangaluru. If approved, the train is expected to complete the journey in about 13 hours.
Officials said two Vande Bharat rakes will need to be deployed to operate this service smoothly. The faster travel time will be possible if the train skips Mangaluru Central and Mangaluru Junction stations. By avoiding these stops, the train can save time and maintain high speed throughout the route.
The proposed service aims to improve connectivity between Karnataka and Goa and provide passengers with a comfortable and quick travel option. Vande Bharat trains are known for their modern facilities, speed, and better passenger experience.
