A vigilance raid has exposed another Bihar government engineer corruption case. Superintendent Engineer Sanjeev Kumar from the Rural Works Department was found hoarding black money. The team seized documents for 10 valuable land plots, ₹7.56 lakh in cash, and proof of heavy investments in mutual funds and the share market. His total assets are estimated in crores, far beyond his income.
Investigators also found five bank passbooks, a locker at Punjab National Bank, and a Tata Nexon car. The vigilance bureau earlier filed a case over ₹1.12 crore in disproportionate assets, now believed to be much higher. Authorities are checking his locker, expecting gold and precious metal investments. The search also covers his family’s properties outside Bihar.
In the last two months, two more engineers from the same department were caught in similar cases, showing a deep Bihar government engineer corruption network.
