Vijay Calls DMK an ‘Evil Force’, Presents TVK as People-Centric Alternative
Actor-turned-politician Vijay has strongly criticised the DMK, describing it as an “evil force,” and positioned his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), as a people-centric alternative. He was addressing a campaign meeting near the Vijayamangalam toll plaza in Erode district.
This was Vijay’s first public address in Tamil Nadu since the Karur stampede on September 27. In his speech, he said his political journey is rooted in his long-standing relationship with the people of the State, built over more than three decades through his work in cinema and public life.
Vijay stated that TVK aims to represent ordinary citizens and focus on issues affecting their daily lives. He stressed that politics should be about service, honesty, and accountability. The leader also appealed to people to support a new political culture that prioritises public welfare over power.
Supporters gathered in large numbers, reflecting growing interest in his political movement.
