The Dularchand Yadav murder case in Mokama, Bihar, has created a storm during the Assembly elections. Former MLA Anant Singh was arrested and sent to jail, and police may take him on remand for questioning. The Dularchand Yadav murder case began when clashes broke out between supporters of Anant Singh and Jan Suraj Party’s Piyush Priyadarshi during election campaigning. Dularchand Yadav, who supported Piyush, was killed in the chaos. His family accused Singh’s followers of shooting and running him over.
Police reports, however, remain unclear. The post-mortem found no gunshot wounds; it suggested Yadav may have died from being hit by a vehicle. DGP Vinay Kumar confirmed that the bullet injury on Yadav’s leg was not fatal. Investigators are still trying to determine whether it was murder or an accident. The CID and local police are jointly working to uncover the truth.
