Winter Session of Telangana Assembly Begins; KCR Attends, Revanth Reddy Greets Him
The Telangana Legislative Assembly’s winter session commenced in Hyderabad on Monday, drawing attention with the presence of former Chief Minister and BRS president K. Chandrashekar Rao. His attendance marked a notable moment in the House, coming months after the change of government in the State.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy greeted Mr. Rao on the Assembly premises, setting a cordial tone at the start of the session. Several Congress Ministers also met the former Chief Minister, exchanging pleasantries across party lines. The interactions were seen as a gesture of parliamentary courtesy and respect for democratic traditions.
The winter session is expected to witness debates on key governance issues, including welfare schemes, financial management and policy priorities of the Congress-led government. With the presence of senior leaders from both the Treasury and Opposition benches, the proceedings are likely to be closely watched.
Political observers noted that Mr. Rao’s participation could lend greater intensity to the discussions, particularly on matters related to the previous BRS government’s tenure and the new administration’s agenda.
