YSRCP MLA B. Virupaksha from Alur has thrown an open challenge to the “yellow media”, accusing it of spreading false propaganda about YSRCP leaders not meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his Kurnool tour. In a fiery counter, Virupaksha said, “We are not fake MLAs — the yellow media is fake. If they prove we didn’t submit a memorandum to the PM, I will resign as MLA. If they can’t, will ETV and ABN shut down?”
He criticized biased media for misreporting facts and said that YSRCP representatives had indeed met the PM at Orvakal airport, submitting a memorandum demanding that the privatization of medical colleges be stopped, Valmikis be included in the ST list, and more funds be allocated to drinking water schemes and national highway projects.
Virupaksha asserted that the YSRCP always fights for people’s issues, while “yellow media twists facts to mislead the public.”
