YSRCP Raises Questions Over ‘Secrecy’ Surrounding Naidu’s Foreign Tour
The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has raised questions over what it termed as “secrecy” surrounding Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s recent foreign tour. Party leaders alleged that the State government failed to disclose clear details about the itinerary, official meetings, and outcomes of the visit, despite projecting it as an important investment-focused tour. They demanded transparency on the agreements signed, commitments received, and the public funds spent on the trip.
YSRCP representatives said that while the government claimed the tour would attract large-scale investments and boost employment, no concrete information had been shared with the public or the Assembly so far. They also questioned the absence of official statements on follow-up mechanisms for the proposed investments.
Responding to the criticism, leaders of the ruling Telugu Desam Party maintained that the tour was productive and aimed at strengthening Andhra Pradesh’s global partnerships. They said details would be revealed at an appropriate time and accused the opposition of politicising developmental efforts.
