A 9th-grade student shot dead in Sitamarhi has created shock and fear in the area. The teenager, Ripu Kumar, left home in the evening, telling his family that he was going to see a flag-hoisting ceremony. Later, locals found his body on a dam near Srinagar Mohalla in the MehsAula police station limits.
People gathered quickly after seeing the body. A passerby informed the police. The police reached the spot and started the investigation. A mobile phone was also recovered from the scene.
Early investigation suggests that the 9th-grade student shot dead in Sitamarhi was killed somewhere else. There were no blood stains or marks at the spot, raising suspicion that the killers dumped the body after the murder.
A forensic team collected samples from the area. Police are also checking CCTV footage from nearby locations. The station in-charge said that the team is working to trace the sequence of events.
The teenager’s family is in deep shock. His uncle said Ripu had no known disputes with anyone. The entire village is mourning the loss, and the police are waiting for the family’s official statement.
