In Patna, an alarming incident shocked the city when miscreants snatched the mobile phone of Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Prem Chandra Singh at Phulwarisharif railway station. The attackers not only stole his phone but also pushed him onto the railway tracks.
The ASP was seriously injured and fell unconscious. Luckily, no train was approaching, which saved his life. Locals rushed him to a private hospital ICU, where he received treatment for multiple injuries, including a broken arm. He later filed an FIR with the Patna GRP.
Prem Chandra Singh has expressed suspicion that the attack was carried out with the intent to kill him. Police have registered a case of attempted murder and are examining CCTV footage to identify the culprits. The shocking case highlights the growing fearlessness of snatchers in Patna, who now even target senior police officers.
