Bihar Congress Ticket Trouble: Five MLAs in Limbo

Bihar Congress MLAs tickets in limbo

Five Bihar Congress MLAs tickets in limbo as party negotiations continue ahead of elections. Some seats are claimed by allies like the RJD, while others face poor feedback or internal conflict. The Congress Central Election Committee has deferred approval for several names after reports of dissatisfaction and weak public response.

In the 2020 polls, Congress won 19 seats, but two MLAs switched sides later. Now, 5–6 sitting MLAs are waiting for the green light. Sources say tickets of State President Rajesh Ram and Shakeel Ahmed Khan are confirmed, while Maharajganj MLA Vijay Shankar Dubey’s name remains pending due to internal issues. The RJD is also pushing for Rajapakar and other key seats, delaying final decisions.

The Congress Screening Committee has sent final panels for the remaining constituencies. The party insists on contesting 56 seats, with 50 already agreed upon and 25 candidates finalized. The rest depend on feedback and ally coordination.
