Mahagathbandhan Wiped Out in 15 Districts

Mahagathbandhan wiped out in 15 Bihar districts – 2025 election map

The 2025 Bihar results brought a major shock as the Mahagathbandhan wiped out completely in 15 districts. Voters rejected the alliance strongly, and the Mahagathbandhan wiped out trend appeared clearly across many regions. RJD, Congress, VIP, and Left parties failed to win even one seat in these districts.

These districts include Shivhar, Sitamarhi, Supaul, Purnea, Darbhanga, Gopalganj, Khagaria, Bhagalpur, Banka, Munger, Lakhisarai, Sheikhpura, Nalanda, Bhojpur, and Arwal. NDA candidates dominated in every seat here, showing a clear shift in public mood.

In 16 more districts, the alliance managed only one seat each, which shows how big the defeat was. The entire Shahabad region also moved away from the alliance, giving them only three seats. This performance marks one of the biggest declines for the opposition in recent elections.

Overall, the alliance won just 35 of Bihar’s 243 seats. RJD took 25 seats, Congress won 6, CPI-ML took 2, CPI-M won 1, and IIP won 1. VIP and CPI failed to open their account.

The results create serious questions about leadership, planning, and future strategy for the alliance in Bihar politics.
