Many students in Bihar are worried after a BRA Bihar University admission scam came to light. Several candidates for the four-year B.Ed. course said they received strange calls from unknown numbers. The callers said they were from the university and claimed that the student had failed. They then offered to change the result for money.
Students said the callers used confident voices and repeated the BRA Bihar University admission scam lines to trap them. They even mentioned roll numbers, registration numbers, and mobile numbers to look genuine. The amount asked ranged from ₹3,000 to ₹10,000. Some callers used names like Rajpal, Karan, and Rehan. On Truecaller, the numbers appeared as university numbers, which confused many students.
The provisional B.Ed. list was released recently. Both passed and failed students were included. After the list came out, many who were marked as failed began receiving these fraud calls again and again.
One student even confronted the caller. When he questioned the caller’s identity, the scammer changed his name and demanded the money online.
University officials said the admission process is transparent. They warned students not to fall for scams and confirmed that an investigation is in progress.
