Srijan Scam Action: Major Action Begins in Bihar Officer Case

Srijan scam action against Bihar officer

For the first time, Srijan scam action has reached a strong stage in Bihar. The government took a firm step against retired Block Development Officer Chandrashekhar Jha. This Srijan scam action includes a complete cut of his pension.

Jha worked as BDO in Pirpainti. During his time in office, illegal withdrawals of more than ₹4.52 crore took place. The CBI began its case in 2018. The Law Department later approved prosecution in 2024.

Officials found clear proof of fraud. Jha moved government money to Srijan Mahila Vikas Sahayog Samiti Limited in Bhagalpur. The group had no approval to run banking activity. Records also show that Jha made payment for a flat in his wife’s name. He opened accounts linked to the scam as well.

The department stated that Jha ignored major rule violations. His actions helped the fraud grow. The government then ordered a full pension seizure. It also sent the order to the CBI and the District Magistrate. A notice reached Jha’s home in Dhanbad.
