A Patna land dispute shooting left two people injured after a violent clash broke out between two groups in Patna on Monday. The Patna land dispute shooting happened in the Gopalpur police station area when an argument over ownership of about two bighas of land turned into a fight.
According to police, the dispute had been ongoing for some time between Omprakash and Jitendra Kumar. The situation escalated when both sides confronted each other near Badshahi Pain. The argument soon turned violent as people started attacking each other with sticks.
Witnesses said gunshots were suddenly fired during the clash. Omprakash suffered a bullet injury to his thigh, while a bullet grazed Jitendra Kumar’s stomach. Panic spread in the nearby market as people ran for safety.
Both injured men were taken to a private hospital and are reported to be stable. Police and forensic teams have started an investigation and raids are underway to catch the suspects.
