The SDPO Gautam and SHO Abhishek Calls Scandal has revealed shocking details about an alleged corruption network in Bihar. Investigators found that suspended police officer Gautam Kumar and station house officer Abhishek Kumar Ranjan spoke nearly 2,000 times in just three months, suggesting close coordination in illegal activities.
According to the probe, the SDPO Gautam and SHO Abhishek Calls Scandal involves illegal collections from sand, cattle, coal, lottery, and “entry” mafias operating in the region. Authorities believe the officers organized regular extortion and later distributed the money through a structured system.
The Economic Offences Unit (EOU) has started examining digital records, bank transactions, and property documents linked to the accused. Officials suspect that several assets may be benami and registered in the names of third parties.
Investigators also traced properties connected to the officers in multiple locations, including Bihar, West Bengal, and the Delhi-NCR region. The EOU plans to question SHO Abhishek Ranjan at its Patna office as the probe continues. Authorities say more revelations may emerge during the investigation.
