Women Reservation Bill Dropped: Upendra Kushwaha Thanks Modi and Shah, Targets Opposition

Women Reservation Bill Dropped debate in Lok Sabha as Upendra Kushwaha thanks Modi and Amit Shah

The Women Reservation Bill Dropped in the Lok Sabha triggered strong political reactions across the country. After the voting, Upendra Kushwaha criticized opposition parties and claimed they blocked an important step toward women’s representation in Parliament and state assemblies.

Kushwaha said the Women Reservation Bill Dropped because opposition parties voted against it. According to him, this decision prevented women from getting greater representation in legislative bodies. He argued that the bill could have increased the number of parliamentary and assembly seats while reserving 33% of them for women.

The National Lok Morcha leader also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for supporting the proposal. He said their efforts showed commitment to women’s empowerment and political participation.

Kushwaha announced that his party will take the issue to the public. He plans to highlight what he called the “anti-women stand” of opposition parties and mobilize support across Bihar and other states.

If the proposal had passed, the number of Lok Sabha seats in Bihar could have increased significantly, along with a larger share reserved for women leaders.
