Patna: The Tejashwi Yadav Women’s Reservation Bill debate heated up after the RJD leader explained his party’s stand. Tejashwi Yadav said his alliance supports women in politics. He also said they give many election tickets to women.
Speaking in Patna, Tejashwi Yadav attacked the BJP and the RSS. He said his party gives tickets to women so they can contest elections. He also claimed the BJP and RSS do not give enough chances to women in politics.
The Tejashwi Yadav Women’s Reservation Bill issue started after opposition parties raised questions about the law. Yadav said they are not against reservation for women.
However, he said the government linked the bill with delimitation. According to him, this move may change constituency boundaries and help the ruling party.
Tejashwi Yadav also demanded stronger representation. He said women should get up to 50% reservation. He also asked for fair representation for OBC women in politics.
