The victim, Sunny Kumar, a Class 8 student, had earlier been involved in a minor quarrel while playing with another child from the neighborhood. The disagreement later created tension between the two families.
Police said the accused allegedly attacked the boy when he was alone. They reportedly beat him badly and damaged both of his eyes. Doctors later confirmed that the child is unlikely to regain his eyesight.
