Patna School Timings Changed after rising temperatures and heatwave warnings in Bihar. The district administration issued a new order to protect young students from extreme heat.

According to officials, Patna School Timings Changed for students up to Class 5 in all government and private schools. The district magistrate directed that academic activities for these classes must stop after 12:30 PM. The rule also applies to pre-primary sections and Anganwadi centres.

The order came after temperatures in Patna touched around 40°C, raising concerns about children’s health and safety. Authorities said prolonged exposure to heat can increase the risk of heatstroke for young students.

The directive will remain effective from April 21 to April 25, 2026. School administrations must adjust their schedules immediately to follow the order.

Officials also warned that temperatures may rise further in the coming days. If the heatwave intensifies, authorities may review school schedules for higher classes as well.
