Prohibited meat found at government school in Bihar triggers protests

A major controversy erupted after prohibited meat found at government school premises in Bihar’s Rohtas district triggered protests by villagers. The incident happened at an Urdu middle school in Ramudih village under Rajpur block near Sasaram.

According to reports, prohibited meat found at government school was discovered inside black plastic bags kept in a classroom. The discovery angered local residents, who gathered at the school and raised slogans against the staff. Police and local officials reached the spot and brought the situation under control.

The district education officer suspended five teachers, including the acting headmaster, soon after the incident. Authorities also transferred two other teachers to different schools to ease tensions in the village.

Officials said the meat samples have been sent for forensic testing to identify the type of meat. The district administration has asked residents to remain calm while the investigation continues.
