Bihar bad weather storm rain lightning damage in several districts

Bihar bad weather created widespread damage across the state as storms, heavy rain, hail and lightning hit several districts. In the last 24 hours, Bihar bad weather incidents have killed at least 10 people and injured several others. Strong winds uprooted trees, damaged houses and disrupted power supply in many towns and villages.

The severe weather affected districts such as Muzaffarpur, Madhubani, West Champaran, Samastipur, Darbhanga, Hajipur, Aurangabad and Begusarai. Several deaths occurred after trees fell, lightning struck, or structures collapsed during the storm. Many areas also faced long power cuts after electricity poles and wires were damaged.

In Hajipur, a six-year-old child died after a tree fell during strong winds. In Aurangabad, lightning struck near a wedding gathering and killed the groom’s uncle. Other victims lost their lives after trees collapsed on houses or vehicles.

The storm also damaged crops such as mango and litchi. Authorities are assessing the losses and monitoring the situation.
