Intermediate Education Within School Premises: Telangana Plans Major Plus 2 Admission Changes

Intermediate Education Within School Premises in Telangana schools for Plus 2 admissions

The Telangana government is planning to bring Intermediate Education Within School Premises as part of new education reforms. Officials are preparing fresh guidelines for Plus 2 admissions across the state.

Under the proposed system, students may study intermediate courses on school campuses instead of separate junior colleges. The government is reviewing integrated campuses and changes in the admission process. The idea aims to improve coordination between school and intermediate education.

The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education recently paused the admission schedule for the 2026–27 academic year. Authorities said they will soon release revised instructions after completing discussions on the reforms.

Private college managements and lecturers have expressed concern over the proposed changes. They believe the new system may affect students preparing for competitive exams like NEET and IIT-JEE.

Meanwhile, students and parents are waiting for clarity on admissions and the final decision on the new education model.
